Rip Tide, Sneaker Wave Warning At Bay Area Beaches
Are you heading to the beach to cool off? Be extra careful!

BAY AREA — The National Weather Service is warning Bay Area residents and visitors of an increased risk of rip currents and sneaker waves at beaches in the region because of a southerly swell hitting the coast between today and Wednesday.
Weather service officials said there is moderate confidence in the surf forecast that will primarily affect south-facing shorelines, with smaller impacts at southwest and west-facing beaches.
The increased swell is expected to dissipate late Wednesday morning and will continue to decrease later in the week, according to the weather service.
