Saint Mary's 153rd Graduation
The weekend included a Baccalaureate Mass, Commencement Exercises, and a Fifty-Year Reunion
The 132-member Class of 2016 of Saint Mary’s College High School (1863) graduated at Zellerbach Auditorium at U.C. Berkeley on Sunday, June 5. They were joined by members of the Class of 1966 (photo) who received special “golden” diplomas during the ceremony. Saint Mary’s High President since 1997, Brother Edmond Larouche, FSC, in black, is a member of the Fifty-Year Class. They were joined by Brother Mel Anderson, FSC, next to Brother Edmond, Saint Mary's High Class of 1947, high school Principal in 1966 and retired President of Saint Mary’s College, Moraga. More members of the Golden Grads Class were on hand for the reunion dinner Saturday and barbecue on Sunday.

They gathered once more on campus for their Baccalaureate Mass with family and the Class of 1966 on Saturday, June 4. In addition to receiving significant amounts of need-based financial aid, students in the Class of 2016 have been awarded, to date, an aggregate total of $11.5 million in scholarships. This includes both academic and athletic scholarships awarded by colleges and universities, as well as scholarships awarded by private sources.
