Saint Mary's Blood Drive is March 31
The community is welcome to donate at the annual Saint Mary's College High School Blood Drive on Tuesday, March 31 from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Saint Mary’s College High School will hold its annual Blood Drive in the school gym on Tuesday, March 31 from 7:30 am until 1:00 pm. Donors will be provided brunch. Your precious gift can save up to three lives! Saint Mary’s students and faculty began the Spring Term today following many adventures around town and around the world during last week’s annual Enrichment Week program. Students select from some four dozen unique faculty-created courses -- academic, cultural, career exploration, service, travel, and recreational. Pictured: Helping out at Saint Anthony’s Dining Room in San Francisco during the Bay Area Service Immersion Course; The ”Tech Talk” course group visited the Google offices in San Francisco; The ”California Steampunk” group (British Victorian meets American Wild West meets Modern Punk) donned period outfits for a visit to the very Victorian Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park; The ”Giddy Up” group volunteered at the Center for Early Intervention on Deafness in Berkeley as well as at the Xenophon Therapeutic Horse Riding Center in Orinda; One group visited many sites in and around Rome, including the Forum; Chez Panisse was on the menu for the ”A Little Bit of Everything” and ”Fun 4 Life” courses who walked to the iconic Berkeley site after a tour of the Edible Schoolyard at King Middle School - one of many Bay Area adventures involving food, sports, art, culture, nature, service, and more; Student Peter Forte with a new friend in Haiti. This is just a sampling of the Enrichment Week adventures.
