Saint Mary's at the Coast and in the Creek

The Panthers were out in force at Albany Beach last Saturday and are busy pursuing annual Creek studies.

Twenty-two students from the Saint Mary’s SALT Service Club (Social Action Lasallian Team) and AP Environmental Science class teamed with the Watershed Project, East Bay Regional Parks, and the City of Albany on Coastal Cleanup Day September 17 to pick up trash from the Albany Shoreline Park. Three faculty members/club moderators joined them.

Back at school (final photo), Freshman Biology classes are making the annual trek down into Codornices Creek that runs along the edge of the campus for an up-close look at plant and animal life in the creek and along the creek bank. The school participates in creek cleanup activities during the year.
