Saint Mary's High at Berkeley Rep

Students perform and direct at Osher Theatre. Saint Mary's celebrates Saint Patrick's Day! Alum sets world record. Lenten Food Drive ends.

Saint Mary’s High again has even more reason to be proud of its Theatre Artists as now several are very involved with Berkeley Repertory Theatre’s Teen One Act Festival being presented this weekend in the Osher Studio Theatre, Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 20, at 2 p.m.

Fresh from their success with the high school's February production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (pictured), students will be presenting an original One Act by playwright Armando Byrd, “Revenge or Renaissance," with a set designed by Saint Mary's sophomore Julia Martin. Julia is also Stage Manager for the second one-act, “Man Under a Piano,” featuring junior Lizzy Ward and sophomore Elena Avila as principle characters. Senior Matt Franaszek is the Prop Master and designer for both shows. Congratulations, students!

Saint Patrick's Day will be celebrated on campus today with Irish treats provided by the Diversity Club, a full corned beef and cabbage lunch available at the school cafeteria, and Irish music and dancing during the lunch period.
