Solar Eclipse Gazing: Photos Of The Day

CALIFORNIA — Were you awed by Monday's solar eclipse. So were Patch editors who fanned out to photograph the rare occurrence from the San Francisco Bay Area to San Diego, and east to the Inland Empire.

While you gazed upward, we focused on you. We watched as you used colanders to create mosaic eclipses on the ground, shared your viewing glasses with those who came too late to viewing parties to claim a pair, and as you mouthed "Wow!" as you stared at a sun partially obscured by the moon.

We've posted a few photos above but we want to see your photos! Show us your best eclipse shots, or your favorite of family and friend watching the eclipse.
