WATCH: Alameda County Transportation Commission's Back to School Public Safety Announcements

County transportation officials emphasize that getting to school safely "is a two-way street."

Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) and Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools (SR2S) present a series of educational Public Service Announcements to get more kids walking and biking safely to school, and to emphasize that getting to school safely is a two-way street that requires awareness by the community, the driving public and students and families.

Safe Routes to Schools programs are critical for our quality of life. Walking, biking or carpooling to school fosters stronger, safer neighborhoods and supports healthy communities.
