Wednesday: Major Berkeley Lab Meeting for Proposed Albany Site with Developers, Lab Officials

The meeting, at Albany High School, will offer new information about the site plan, along with lab goals for the proposed second campus of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

Albany's racetrack is one of six sites the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is considering for its proposed second campus project, which aims to consolidate operations now spread around the East Bay.

Beginning this past weekend, held five meetings to start to inform residents about the proposal, and allow them to weigh in. Monthly meetings aimed at Albany residents will take place with the consultant through the fall, when the lab is expected to make its selection.
