Aliso Viejo's Population Jumps to 47,823, Says 2010 Census Data

New census, released Tuesday, shows a growth of 7,657 people since 2000.

Aliso Viejo's population has grown to 47,823, according to the 2010 Census.

Census results, released Tuesday afternoon, show a growth of 7,657 people since 2000 with a population of 40,166.

Both California's and Orange County's population rose since the 2000 census.
