Aliso Viejo's Population Jumps to 47,823, Says 2010 Census Data

Census results, released Tuesday afternoon, show a growth of 7,657 people since 2000 with a population of 40,166.

Both California's and Orange County's population rose since the 2000 census.

• 2010 California— 37.2 million compared to 33.9 million in 2000.
• 2010 Orange County— 3,010,232 compared to 2,846,289 in 2000.
