Join us Saturday, May 4th, as we greet the authors and illustrator of Altadena's own "The Chocolate Princess In The Land Of Plenty"!
At 1:00 pm, Yolanda Allen, Valerie Jackson, and Sylvia Walker, will be at WFS to sign their books, which provide a positive role model for young girls. We'll be discussing what prompted the authors to write this book, and why they think positive self-identification is something that is missing in education today, especially for young children of color.
You won't want to miss meeting these wonderful, local ladies, and let them know how proud we are of their book, published right here in Beautiful Altadena! This event is being catered by Perry's Joint, which means there will be some delicious food, too!
