The Spanish‑style house, permitted through the county, is designed for greater fire resilience and will include an advanced sound‑based fire‑suppression system alongside standard sprinklers.

California sets standards for homes tainted by wildfire smoke (seattletimes.com) — New statewide standards for cleaning wildfire smoke–damaged homes could finally give Altadena residents clear rules for when it is safe to move back in and force insurers to pay for testing and cleanup. California News: ICE Jobs, AskCA AI, Social Media Law (eurweb.com) — Altadena wildfire survivors helped test California's new AskCA AI chatbot, which is meant to guide residents through disaster recovery, jobs, and other services in one place. The same statewide news roundup also covers a proposed ban on police moonlighting for ICE and a new law limiting addictive social media features for kids, which could affect many local families online.
