1. Altadena Rebuilding Advances, but Only 2% of Projects Completed (pasadenanow.com) — Altadena homeowners rebuilding after recent fires are making progress, but only about 2% of more than 3,000 projects are finished even though over half of affected single-family properties have entered permitting. A local nonprofit, Foothill Catalog Foundation, is offering pre-approved home designs and direct help to hundreds of families to speed construction and reduce costs.

2. Altadena Town Council to Seek Construction-Free Sundays During Rebuild (pasadenanow.com) — Altadena residents rebuilding after the Eaton Fire may soon get quieter Sundays, as the Altadena Town Council plans to ask Los Angeles County to ban construction on Sundays in hard-hit neighborhoods. The council will send a letter requesting a weekly "day of rest" from construction noise while still supporting rapid rebuilding. Because Altadena is unincorporated, any rule change must come from the county.

4. Eaton Fire survivors protest in Sacramento for more aid (ttownmedia.com) — Altadena Eaton Fire survivors traveled to Sacramento this week, demanding $25 million in state CARE Fund aid to help rebuild homes destroyed in the January 2025 blaze.
