Police Blotter: A Light Week in Crime

Three vehicle burglaries and an attempted residential burglary occurred this week in Altadena.

Monday November 22, between 7:30 p.m. and 7 a.m. Tuesday - A petty theft from an unlocked vehicle occurred in the 1800 block of Harding Avenue. A gray backpack, a gray Texas Instrument calculator, black Prismacolor drafting pens, and miscellaneous documents were stolen. The victim recovered the backpack at the northwest corner of Harding Avenue and New York Drive.

Wednesday November 24, 10:50 a.m. - An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 200 block of W. Loma Alta Drive. A witness observed a newer model two-door gray Toyota parked in the driveway of the residence and was able to report part of its license plate: 6HCN72. The vehicle was occupied by an African American female in her 20's wearing a black baseball cap backwards as well as large diamond earrings, a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, and red Converse shoes. She was in the driver's seat. Suspect number two was observed exiting the vehicle and enterting the backyard of the residence. A short time later a noise was heard which caused the witness to step out of the residence, where the witness then observed the gray Toyota parked on the street. The female driver saw the witness and honked the horn. Suspect number two exited the backyard and entered the suspect vehicle, which was last seen heading east bound on Loma Alta Drive.

Thursday November 25, between 2 p.m. and 12 p.m. Friday - A trailer was reported stolen from Woodbury Road and Windsor Avenue. The trailer contained 26 pallets of clothing.

Friday November 26, between 7:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Saturday - A vehicle was reported stolen from the 2300 block of Navarro Avenue. The vehicle was described as a white 2005 Toyota Sienna.
