Police Blotter: Recent Crimes, Last Month's Stats, and a Reminder to Be Cautious

Don't forget to lock your car after you park, even if it's in your driveway, considering the recent rash of vehicle and residential burglaries that now occur on a weekly basis in Altadena.

In addition to the normal release of information on crimes in the last week, Altadena officers are warning that citizens should continue to be vigilant about petty theft and burglaries.

Altadena had 12 residential burglaries and 27 reports of larcenies, including vehicle burglary, grand theft and petty theft, according to Lt. Joseph Dempsey of the Altadena Sheriff's Station.

Dempsey said residents should continue to lock up and be aware of the problem.
