The Scripps Home: A Look Back

Altadena Historical Society presents a view of the Scripps Home as seen through the eyes of its residents.

The landmark Scripps Home at the corner of El Molino and Calaveras is gone forever. But the Altadena Historical Society is keeping the story alive.

Join professional historian Tim Gregory on Monday, April 22, for "A Place Like No Other - The Story of the Scripps Home." Gregory has organized more than 1500 documents, including photos, scrapbooks, and other memorabilia, to form an in-depth picture of what the Scripps Home once meant to both its residents and to Altadena in general.

The presentation, a part of the AHS quarterly meeting, will be held at the Altadena Community Center, and is free and open to the public.
