Town Council Preview

On Tuesday's meeting, the council is expected to elect new executive officers, hear a trash report from Athens Services and take action on community identification signs and permits for a water well

There are a couple of items that we'll be watching at Tuesday night's Town Council meeting:

  • The council will be electing new executive officers for the 2011-2012 year. We'll let you know who will be taking over the offices, including the top spot as Town Council chair Gino Sund steps down.
  • Thor Schmidt from Athens Services will be giving the council a special report on trash contracts, and we'll report on the details.
  • Rubio Canyon Land & Water has applied for a permit that would allow the association to construct and operate a water well on 3371 Rubio Canyon Road. The council could action on this item at the meeting.
  • The council could vote on whether there should be “Welcome to Altadena” signs at the borders of the community.

The Town Council will meet Tuesday, July 19  at 7 p.m. in the Altadena Community Center, 730 East Altadena Drive.
