• One Person Killed In Monday Evening Crash At Dead Man's Point In Apple Valley (vvng.com) — A deadly two-vehicle crash at Dead Man’s Point in Apple Valley shut down eastbound Highway 18 for nearly two hours Monday evening and claimed the life of a sedan driver. CHP investigators are still determining what led to the T-bone collision at Bear Valley Road and SR-18, and details on the victim’s identity and any additional injuries have not yet been released. 
• Operation Consequences Nets 76 Arrests, Focused Largely In High Desert Communities (vvng.com) — Apple Valley was one of several High Desert communities targeted in a weeklong Operation Consequences sweep that led to 76 arrests, 76 seized firearms, and nearly 12 pounds of suspected narcotics recovered. The multi-agency effort, funded by San Bernardino County supervisors, focused on gang activity, illegal guns, and quality-of-life crime and will continue in coming months.
