• Woman, Teen Arrested After $650 Robbery At Apple Valley Target (vvng.com) — Police say a Victorville woman and an Apple Valley teen were arrested after about $650 in merchandise was taken from the Target on Bear Valley Road and a loss prevention worker was assaulted. Deputies later stopped their vehicle near Apple Valley Road, recovered the items, and booked the adult on robbery charges, while the juvenile was cited and released to a guardian. 
• Lions Club members give away nearly 700 books at Mall of Victor Valley (vvdailypress.com) — Apple Valley Lions Club members joined neighboring clubs at the Mall of Victor Valley to help give away nearly 700 free books to local readers. Organizers say the regional effort, which included Apple Valley among several High Desert communities, was aimed at sparking children’s interest in reading and showed how many donated books quickly found new homes.
