The Regional Transportation Commission and local property interests are battling over whether the land is a railroad easement or fully private property, a decision that could shape future parking and rail‑corridor use in town.
   

• Ella Dueck leads Aptos to sweep of Santa Cruz in SCCAL volleyball action (fresnobee.com) — Aptos High’s girls volleyball team edged Santa Cruz in straight sets behind a huge night from senior hitter Ella Dueck, and will visit Pajaro Valley on Monday evening. Several other Mariners teams were also in action, including girls golf and upcoming girls flag football, giving Aptos fans plenty of chances to support local athletes in league play.
