• Fong Honors Educators and School Leaders Across the San Gabriel Valley (coloradoboulevard.net) — An Arcadia High School educator is among those honored with Assemblymember Mike Fong's 2026 Outstanding Educator Awards, recognizing teachers and school leaders across the San Gabriel Valley. The awards spotlight educators from Arcadia Unified and neighboring districts whose work strengthens local schools and supports student success in communities throughout Assembly District 49, including Arcadia.
   

• Mickey and Minnie Welcome Tournament of Roses Royal Court to Disneyland (laughingplace.com) — A local Arcadia High School student, Daniela Guzman, has been selected to serve on the Tournament of Roses Royal Court, giving Arcadia a visible role in this year's New Year's Day festivities. The new court, drawn from several area high schools, kicked off its duties with a celebratory visit to Disneyland, continuing a long-standing tradition between the Rose Parade and the resort.
   

• Memorial to day laborer Carlos Montoya vandalized days before pilgrims' Monrovia visit (sgvtribune.com) — A memorial in a Monrovia Home Depot parking lot honoring Arcadia resident and day laborer Carlos Montoya, killed near the 210 Freeway during an ICE raid, was vandalized but quickly rebuilt by volunteers. Immigrant advocates restored the crosses and plan an interfaith service there as part of a 96-mile pilgrimage calling for detention center closures and changes to federal immigration policy.
