• Ex-members of Compton and Baldwin Park city councils sentenced to prison (sgvtribune.com) — A federal bribery case involving former Compton and Baldwin Park councilmembers also touched Arcadia through businessman Yichang Bai, identified as being from the city. Bai, an import-export operator tied to marijuana permit bribes in Baldwin Park, previously pleaded guilty and received a one-year-eight-month prison sentence connected to the broader corruption probe.
