• Arcadia football dominates La Puente, ends two-game losing streak (modbee.com) — Arcadia High's football team snapped a two-game skid with a dominant 47-0 road win over La Puente, powered by quarterback Freddy Bysshe's three touchdown passes and Aiden Reyes' big plays on offense and defense. The Apaches' defense forced turnovers and held La Puente to negative rushing yards, building momentum as Arcadia heads into next week's Crest League opener against Temple City in the Brawl for the Mall. 
• Pasadena mid-century home by Harold Bissner Jr. seeks $3.8M (ocregister.com) — A notable mid-century modern home in nearby Pasadena, designed by architect Harold Bissner Jr., has hit the market for $3.8 million after a careful restoration. Arcadia readers may recognize Bissner's work from the distinctive former Van de Kamp's building here, now a Denny's, highlighted as the last surviving example of his Googie-style bakery designs.
