Arcadia football turns it on in 2nd half to rout Temple City (sgvtribune.com) — Arcadia High's football team thrilled home fans by overpowering Temple City 40-7 in their latest "Brawl for the Mall," with seniors Ethan Drew Long and Aiden Reyes leading the way on both sides of the ball. The Apaches, now 4-2 and already doubling last year's win total, hit the road to face Arroyo next Friday as they push toward a home playoff game.
   

2. 2027 Rose Court to be announced next week, with $7,500 scholarships on the line (dailynews.com) — Arcadia families have extra reason to watch next week's Rose Court announcement, with several Arcadia High School students among the finalists vying for seven spots and $7,500 scholarships. The court members will represent the region at community events and ride on the Rose Parade float on January 1, 2027, showcasing local youth leadership and achievement.
   

3. Honey the 100-Pound Pig Starts Life With Adopter (pasadenanow.com) — Local pet lovers should know that Arcadia currently bans keeping pigs as pets, unlike some neighboring cities that allow them. Pasadena Humane just placed Honey, a 100‑pound pig, in a new home and is reminding residents that each city, including Arcadia, has its own rules and responsibilities for pig ownership, from space and nutrition to veterinary care.
   

4. In Memoriam: Nancy Irene Erwin (canyonlakeinsider.com) — A woman born in Arcadia in 1950, Nancy Irene Erwin Hedrick, is being remembered by family and friends after passing away in Homeland, California, following a battle with frontotemporal dementia. She grew up in Los Angeles County, raised her family in Canyon Lake, and was known for her salon work and advocacy for organ donation, leaving behind children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
