Rep. Judy Chu recognized volunteers, nonprofits, youth, and businesses from across the San Gabriel Valley, highlighting how the district stretches west from La Crescenta all the way east to Arcadia. 
• Curt Hagman attends supervisors meeting for first time since FBI raids (sgvtribune.com) — Federal investigations into alleged ties between local officials and Chinese government agents have now touched Arcadia, where a former mayor resigned from the City Council earlier this year after being charged. The latest development centers on San Bernardino County Supervisor Curt Hagman, who has resumed public meetings three weeks after FBI raids on his home and office, while search warrants remain sealed and no charges have been filed from the July operations.
