U.S. Immigration Enforcement Releases Photo of Deported Arcadia Woman
Arcadia woman suspected of embezzling millions was deported to Taipei last Wednesday.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has released a photo of Mei-Rung Lin, 47, the Arcadia woman deported last Wednesday and suspected of embezzling millions in Taiwan.
The photo of Lin was taken shortly after her arrival at Taoyuan International Airport last week, ICE Communications Director Virginia Kice told Patch in an e-mail Monday.
Lin, a Taiwanese national, was taken into custody by the ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Fugitive Operations Team Dec. 16 at her Arcadia home for administrative immigration violations, according to a statement released by ICE.

Lori K. Haley, a Public Affairs Officer at ICE, said that the agency didn’t know how long Lin had been living in Arcadia, but she had entered the United States a decade ago.
Lin was the subject of a “red notice” given by the International Crime Police Organization (INTERPOL). The red notice indicates Lin is named in a warrant issued in Aug. 2000 by Taiwanese authorities accusing her of stealing $2.15 million from a Taiwanese company.

The ICE said that Lin had been ordered deported by an immigration judge in 2008. Lin appealed the judge's order, but in July 2010 the Board of Immigration Appeals upheld the decision, leading to Lin's removal from the U.S.
