• Update: Earthquake shakes region near Avalon, CA on June 2 - 2.3 magnitude recorded (fresnobee.com) — A minor 2.3 magnitude earthquake shook an area about six miles north-northeast of Avalon on Tuesday evening, but quakes of this size are rarely damaging. Still, residents are reminded to share any shaking they felt with USGS and to review basic “drop, cover, and hold on” safety steps for future events.
