• Tejon Indian Tribe brings 'Honoring Our Ancestors' Pow Wow back to CSUB (turnto23.com) — Residents in Bakersfield can once again experience the Tejon Indian Tribe’s "Honoring Our Ancestors" Pow Wow at Cal State Bakersfield, back for the first time since 2019. The two-day gathering features dancers, singers, drummers, and hands-on demonstrations of traditional crafts, inviting local families to learn about and celebrate Native American culture and community.
   

• California county posts 'under protest' letter in Bakersfield sewer rate fight (thecooldown.com) — Bakersfield property owners facing higher sewer bills now have a Kern County template letter they can file to pay their charges "under protest" and preserve potential refund rights.
