East Bakersfield Gets a Bit Sweeter with Opening of Nothing Bundt Cakes

Chiral and Dixit Desai have enjoyed sharing joy with their amazing cakes since they opened their first Nothing Bundt Cakes in Sunnyvale in 2010. With other locations in Fremont and Bakersfield, the couple is just as excited about having opened their fourth bakery – this time in East Bakersfield. “The Bakersfield community has given us so much love over the years,” shared Chiral. “We want to build on that strong sense of connection by bringing Nothing Bundt Cakes closer to the east side of town, adding more joy, excitement and convenience for our extended Bundt family.”

The team will host a week-long grand opening celebration, including a day to benefit C.A.R.E. for Kids, a Free Bundtlets for a Year giveaway, ribbon cutting, Family Fun Event and Community Appreciation Days (see all details below).

GRAND OPENING EVENTS

  • Community Appreciation Days – The following will be recognized with a Free Bundtlet with badge/ID on their designated day: Monday - First Responders and Military, Tuesday - Healthcare Workers, Wednesday - Teachers and School Staff, Thursday – City Employees
• Thursday, April 30
  • 4 p.m. - Ribbon Cutting with Mayor Karen Goh and the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce
• Friday, May 1
  • C.A.R.E. for Kids Benefit Day - 20% of sales will be donated to this nonprofit advocating for the kids of Kern County through the administration of funds received by the Children’s Advocates Resource Endowment (C.A.R.E.) to benefit local children’s organizations.
• Saturday, May 2
  • 9 a.m. – Free Bundtlets for a Year! The first 50 Guests age 18+ with purchase will receive a “Free Bundtlets for a Year” punch card, which can be redeemed for one (1) Bundtlet per month for twelve months at the East Bakersfield, CA bakery
  • 12-2 p.m. – Family Fun Event – Bring the kids and enjoy balloon art and face painting. Plus, Bundtastic Rewards® loyalty members (new or existing) will receive a Free Confetti Bundtlet (while supplies last).

Nothing Bundt Cakes is located at 2660 Oswell Street and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The luscious cakes are baked daily using the finest ingredients, including real eggs, butter and cream cheese, in 40 unique designs and 10 delicious flavors.
