• California Highway Patrol Motorcycle Officer Injured in Baldwin Park Traffic Collision Thursday (baldwinparknewsonline.com) — A California Highway Patrol motorcycle sergeant suffered minor injuries in a Thursday afternoon crash at Puente Avenue and Merced Avenue in Baldwin Park, briefly snarling traffic for drivers heading home. Lanes on Puente and Merced were temporarily closed toward Dalewood Street while officers investigated, but everything reopened by about 5:45 p.m. Emergency crews treated the injured officer at the scene.
   

• Caltrans Announces Lane, Ramp Closures Coming to 605 Freeway Next Week (mynewsla.com) — Overnight lane and ramp closures on the 605 Freeway between Santa Fe Springs and Baldwin Park will resume Monday night, so expect detours if you commute through the San Gabriel Valley. Up to two lanes and multiple connectors to the 10, 60 and 5 freeways may close as early as 7–10 p.m. nightly through Friday. Caltrans suggests using the 710 or 5 as alternates.
