• SGV Multimodal Projects Roundup (streetsblog.org) — Baldwin Park is moving ahead with phase three of its Greenway, designing a new 2.6-mile off-street walking and biking path along the Big Dalton Wash plus a pocket park. Building on earlier phases finished this year, the project will extend car-free connections from the Kaiser Permanente area and improve everyday recreation and commuting options for residents. 
• Baldwin Park Students Can Get Free Backpacks School Supplies and Haircuts at Family Resource Fair Next Thursday (baldwinparknewsonline.com) — Baldwin Park families can pick up free backpacks, school supplies, and even haircuts for TK–12 students at the city's first Family Resource Fair on Thursday, August 27, from 5–7 p.m. behind Morgan Park. Open only to Baldwin Park residents, the fair also connects families with local organizations offering resources and assistance as the new school year gets underway.
