Female Motorcyclist Killed In Riverside 91 Freeway Crash

RIVERSIDE, CA — A female motorcyclist died Wednesday in a crash on the 91 Freeway in Riverside, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal wreck was reported on the westbound 91 near Pierce Street just after 5 a.m., according to the CHP.

For reasons still under investigation, the rider lost control of her motorcycle and was ejected, according to the CHP.

She was found laying in the roadway and died at the scene.

Her name, age and city of residence will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.

A SigAlert was issued by the CHP at 5:41 a.m.

The crash temporarily shut down the carpool and number one lanes, the CHP reported. The freeway was cleared at 8:17 a.m., the CHP said.
