2 Men Killed In Banning Crash ID'd
Two men died and two other people were hospitalized with serious injuries in a Friday nigh collision.
BANNING, CA — Two men who were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friday night were identified, authorities said Saturday.
Banning resident Christopher Saldana, 24, and Cabazon resident James Darnell, 75, died in a collision that was reported at about 8:35 p.m. Friday, the Riverside County coroner's office reported.
The crash was reported near the Ramsey Street on-ramp to Interstate 10 and the Banning Municipal Airport, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The victims became trapped in the wreckage and had to be freed by first responders using hydraulic tools. Saldana and Darnell were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others were hospitalized with serious injuries, authorities said.

The crash was still under investigation Saturday.
