324 People In RivCo Receive Improperly Stored Pfizer Vaccine

Health officials this weekend were working to notify hundreds of people who received a Pfizer vaccine dose that had possibly lost potency.

RIVERSIDE, CA — Some 324 people in California may have received improperly stored Pfizer vaccine shots, officials told the Palm Springs Desert Sun on Friday.

Employees of the Riverside University Health System were working to contact those who possibly received the affected doses between Oct. 8 and Nov. 23. The vaccines were reportedly stored in a freezer longer than the manufacturer recommends at two community health centers in Jurupa Valley and Riverside, according to the Desert Sun.

RUHS officials did not immediately respond to Patch for comment.
