5th Free Kids Fishing Tournament on March 28th

Grab your bait, bring your smiles, and get ready to reel in a day of family fun at the 5th Annual Free Kids Fishing Tournament on Saturday, March 28, at the scenic Golden Era Golf Course in San Jacinto! This beloved community event is proudly hosted by a dedicated team of volunteers led by Bass Master Albert Kissinger of the Point Seekers Bass Club.

Young anglers ages 6 to 15 are invited to cast their lines in this free, catch-and-release tournament. Check-in starts at 7:00 a.m., with fishing lines in the water by 8:00 a.m. at 19871 Gilman Springs Road. While the event is free, pre-registration is required at:

Every registered child will receive a free event T-shirt, a snack bag, and lunch for all attendees—because fishing is better fueled!

🎣 Prizes Galore!

Medals and prizes will be awarded to the top 10 anglers in each age group. The grand prize—four Disneyland tickets, generously donated by Steve and Dr. Christie DiMemmo—goes to the angler who lands the biggest fish of the day. The second-place winner will reel in two Disneyland tickets!

No gear? No worries! The California Department of Fish and Wildlife will be on-site with fishing poles available for loan with valid ID.

Last year, 260 young anglers landed an impressive 163 fish, making it a splashy success for families across the community.
