Highway 79 Reopens After 7-Vehicle Pileup In Beaumont
Beaumont Avenue/Highway 79 was closed south of 1st Street.
BEAUMONT, CA — A multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Beaumont resulted in several injuries and road closure, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The crash reported at 9:10 a.m. on northbound Beaumont Avenue/SR-79 at California Avenue involved seven vehicles "with multiple patients," the agency said.
One patient who suffered moderate injuries and three who sustained minor injuries were sent to a hospital. Three others involved in the pileup were evaluated by paramedics but declined further treatment, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

Beaumont Avenue/Highway 79 was closed south of 1st Street, according to the agency.
"Be advised of a closure on Hwy 79, plan a different route if needing to get through the canyon this morning," Beaumont police said on social media.

The roadway reopened around 10:50 a.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
