8 Easy April Fools' Day Pranks You Still Have Time to Pull Off

There's still some time for tomfoolery, yet!

Ah, April 1. Spring is in the air, and the practical jokes are in full force.

While some people go to extreme lengths to pull off the joke – like this NorCal police department that introduced its newest police K9 last year. For the biggest fools' fail of 2016, check out what Google couldn't quite pull off which explains why so many newsrooms now ban reporters from playing April Fool's jokes on their audience.

The good news is, with the help of several Patch readers and editors, we've put together a list of eight easy pranks you still have time to pull off. Just don't blame us if you anger the Mr. or Mrs.

#1 Take a Krispy Kreme (or other donut brand) box fill it with veggies to take to work or home.

#2 Replace the cream center of Oreo cookies with white toothpaste.

#3 Mix smooth peanut butter and chocolate syrup so it's nice, brown gooey mess. Microwave until it seizes up, then place it in a ziplock bag. Snip a hole in the corner of the bag and squeeze out a "special treat" for someone to find...

#4 Let the kids earn some yummy Brussels sprout lollipops by switching out the candy for the sprout and re-wrapping it.

#5 Put food coloring in your milk, salad dressing, food, etc. to turn everything in the refrigerator one color.

#6 Make Jello in drink-sized cups then insert straws so it looks like you're serving juice.

#7 Place a "FREE PIZZA (is awesome)" sign at your friends' houses. See above photo for reference.

#8 Sew your kid's socks closed at the top and watch them try to get them on.
