A Shout Out and A Thank You to Cherry Festival Heavy Lifters

You know who you are!  You are the ones that rolled over the bumps that popped up, pitched in with solutions instead of pointing out problems.  You gave your sweat and time into this effort (literally, it was very hot...).  and showed up.

You know what you did!  You helped us make the news spread about the Monster Gateway warehouse and showed we were one community. You explained the spot zoning plan and the county's efforts to zone bust our community. You got petitions, energy and concern to flow across the pass.  

What should you do now?  Pat yourself on the back. When the going gets tough and the microphones, PR,  standing on platforms were missing, you all stepped up to work. Big time!  So many of you just jumped in, working through many shifts to make sure that the message was clear. You were from Calimesa, Banning, Beaumont and Cherry Valley.  You crossed all ages and communities.

Without sounding like a bad Academy Awards speech I would like to thank Dyke, Arlene, Patsy, Pat, Mike, Larry, Bill, Jack, Sandi, Jan, Chris S., Steven L. , Judy, Mark, Victor, Willy and the Coachella Beauty School face painting fairies (Nyvette, Nicole, Sabrina and Ashlin).
Your spirit is amazing.
