BANNING-BEAUMONT, CA — This Labor Day weekend, residents can find nighttime festivals, seasonal activities, and local history across the Pass area.
From the opening of Oak Glen's apple season to illuminated lavender fields in Cherry Valley, here are five things to do from Friday through Monday.
More than half a million lights illuminate the lavender fields and century-old olive grove during Lavender Nights at 123 Farm.
The evening event also features live music, an outdoor marketplace, sourdough pizza, grilled food and lavender-themed products. Guided tractor tours and lavender-distillation demonstrations are offered at select times.
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa will hold its weekly Flamingo Friday party at the Oasis pool.
The late-night pool event offers music and a resort atmosphere for guests looking to begin Labor Day weekend with an adults-only night out. Attendees should confirm age requirements and pool policies before arriving.
The Gilman Historic Ranch and Wagon Museum preserves a former stagecoach station along the historic Bradshaw Trail.
Visitors can see an Overland stagecoach, prairie schooner, chuck wagon, saddles and other artifacts connected to Western travel and ranching. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
