Aviation Expo Opens at Palm Springs Convention Center
The expo is open to the public and features a variety of aircraft, helicopters, flight simulators, concept aircraft, seminars and workshops.

Flying magazine’s three-day Aviation Expo opens Thursday at the Palm Springs Convention Center, marking the event’s second year in the Coachella Valley.
A “Parade of Planes” traveled from the Palm Springs International Airport to the convention center Thursday morning, with the aircraft remaining on display until a round-trip parade back to the airport at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The expo is open to the public and features a variety of aircraft, helicopters, flight simulators, concept aircraft, seminars and workshops.

Street closures include:
- Until 1 p.m. Thursday, and 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday: Alejo Road from the airport to Avenida Caballeros; Avenida Caballeros from Alejo Road south to Margarita’s restaurant; Amado Road from Avenida Caballeros to Calle Alvarado; and Calle Alvarado from Amado south past the convention center.
- Through 5 p.m. Saturday: Avenida Caballeros, Amado Road, and Alvarado Road around the convention center, where planes will be parked. Margarita’s and Palm Springs Unified School District headquarters will be accessible by turning north onto Avenida Caballeros from Tahquitz Canyon Way.
Plaza Villa residents may access Alvarado Road from Andreas.

A pool-side beer and wine tasting event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. tonight at the Hilton Palm Springs.
