'Back to School Night' at Banning High: Broncos Recognized for Achievement
Students received medals for maintaining grade point averages of 3.0 and higher Thursday night in a ceremony in the Broncos Gym.
Thursday was 'Back to School Night' at Banning High and scores of students were recognized for academic achievement.
Silver medals were awarded to students who maintained grade point averages from 3.0 to 3.5, and gold medals went to students with 3.5 to 4.0 GPAs, Banning Unified School District Superintendent Lynne Kennedy said.
A brand-new bicycle was awarded to senior Paul Arevalo, 18, who had perfect attendance last school year, Banning High counselor Matt Beilstein said.

"Paul's a great kid," Beilstein said. "We're all proud of him."
