Banning Fire Sends Smoke Through Pass Area
The blaze broke out at a property across from Banning High School.
BANNING, CA— Firefighters made quick work of a structure fire in Banning on Wednesday morning, preventing it from spreading to nearby residences. The blaze broke out at 8:05 a.m. at a property on South San Gorgonio, across from the local high school.
A shed and its contents were destroyed in the fire, which sent a smoke plume through the Pass Area. Crews doused the blaze and had cleared the scene by 10 a.m.
The fire also knocked down a power line nearby, but crews on scene said only two customers were affected by an outage. Repairs were underway Wednesday.
