Banning Unified to Cut Classified Positions
Positions eliminated include three bilingual clerk positions and a school security officer position.

The Banning Unified School District voted to eliminate four classified positions at a special board meeting on Monday.
Positions eliminated include three bilingual clerk positions and a school security officer position. The layoffs will become effective 45 days after notice is given to the affected employees.
The district determined it necessary to reduce the positions due to lock of work and/or lack of funds, or due to the expiration of specially funded programs, according to the resolution.
