Beaumont Boys Host Their First-Ever CIF Soccer Semifinal Tuesday

Going up against rivals Citrus Hill from Perris at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Beaumont will host its CIF-Southern Section Div. 6 semifinal in boys soccer on Tuesday, March 1, against visiting Citrus Hill in a 3 p.m. contest.

Beaumont (15-6-5) and Citrus Hill (11-4-5) know each other well. Beaumont completed the regular season as the Mountain Pass League runner-up while Citrus Hill was the MPL's at-large entry into the playoffs.

The two teams met twice during the regular season, both times in MPL play. Beaumont won the first encounter, 6-0, but dropped the second, 2-0.

Beaumont advanced into its first ever semifinal with a 2-1 win over St. Margaret's on Friday. Citrus Hill advanced into the semifinal with a 2-0 win over Marshall, also on Friday.

The winner of the Beaumont-Citrus HIll semifinal advances into the CIF-Southern Section Div. 6 final against the winner of the other semifinal that pits Santa Monica Crossroads at Desert Hot Springs, which is also on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
