Beaumont Fire Burns 8 Acres, 95% Contained
Evacuation warnings were dropped in the brush fire that captivated Beaumont overnight.

BEAUMONT, CA — Under 10 acres of brush has burned in the hills and canyons above Beaumont, fire officials said. The brushfire burning Wednesday in Beaumont prompted evacuation warnings as it made its way through hills and canyons.
Dubbed the Bolo Fire, residents first spotted the blaze just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at David Mountain Road and Bolo Court, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. Hand crews and engines arrived at the scene.
As of 6 p.m. the fire had charred 8 acres and was 95 percent contained, officials said.

The evacuation warning was issued in the area of Bolton and Green Acres drives but was lifted once the fire was 70% contained. No injuries have been reported, officials said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
