Beaumont Gets $3.2M To Revamp Stewart Park, Police Enforcement
Two grants will enhance a local skatepark, relocate a basketball court, bolster public safety initiatives and more in Beaumont.

BEAUMONT, CA — Thanks to two federal grants, Beaumont will get around $3.2 million for new traffic safety initiatives and to revamp all of Stewart Park.
Stewart Park will get $3.1 million in federal grant funding from the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership, which will fund a complete overhaul of Stewart Park. The park redevelopment was one of 54 selected in the U.S. to enhance access to outdoor activity, Beaumont city officials said in a release.
This "Phase II" development will relocate a basketball court, build a secondary playground and improve the skatepark, pickleball striping and picnic shelters. These projects are expected to be completed by December 2025, depending on the completion of a National Environmental Policy Act review, the city said.
