Beaumont/I-10 Chevron: How Illegal is this Gas Station?

Here's a post from Nextdoor. I'm going notify the Chevron Corporation - I'm sure they'd be very interested in knowing what lawsuits are about to hit them.

"Hi neighbors, I was just wanting to warn everyone of the new Chevron gas station off the beaumont off ramp. My son noticed that there were no seals from the riverside county weights and measurements dept on the gas pumps and my husband's car took more gas than his car holds when his 6 month old brand new car showed he still had a quarter of a tank left.

Also when we were talking about it we noticed our cars have been taking more money to fill up even though gas prices are down. My son called riverside weights and measurements and the gas station wasn't in their system so they are going to check them out. Not sure how that happens! I'm pretty sure they been ripping people off."

Apparently people are pulling up to the 'blue pump' with the advertised 'cheap price' at the new Chevron located off Beaumont Avenue south of Interstate 10, but it's not gas, it's DEF; Diesel Exhaust Fluid.

Tow truck company across the street said they've towed 19 cars in the past month.

“If you put that in your vehicle, it will eat up your fuel pump and anything rubber,” Desch said. “I have had to tow many away and I’ve had to take some to LA.”
