Beaumont Man Enters Council Race: Hear From Daniel Marmolejo
Election season is heating up, and not just on a national level.

As the November election nears, talk of local races will be increasing. One such race is the Beaumont City Council, for which there will be two open seats.
Those seats are currently held by Brenda Knight and Della Condon-- only one of whom is seeking reelection. So far six people have filed to run, according to the city.
One of those candidates, Daniel Marmolejo, reached out to Patch to release a statement announcing his candidacy. Here is his announcement:

Daniel F. Marmolejo is honored to share his announcement for candidacy for City Council for the City of Beaumont. I am looking forward to the challenges ahead, community support, new leadership, and a positive spirit of transparency in leading the City of Beaumont.
New City Council leadership is needed to guide our city to improve a cohesive plan that also encompasses our citizens. My professional and community experience have provided me with the abilities necessary to work for you to bring these plans to a completion. In this election, “Citizens Uniting Together For One Purpose-Change”.

The other candidates that will be on the ballot include: Della Condon, Victor Dominguez, Nancy Carroll, Julio Martinez and Ron Roy. Condon was appointed to the council earlier this year, following the death of longtime councilman Jeff Fox.
