One topic shared by Mayor Carroll was the importance of infrastructure improvements such as Beaumont’s Potrero Interchange in the economic growth of the city’s industrial zone. Phase 1 and 1A of the interchange project serve as an example of successful funding collaboration between private partners and federal resources. As plans continue with phase 2 and the addition of interchange ramps, federal funding remains a key component in the completion of the project.
