Beaumont Names New Public Works Director

The following is an announcement from the city of Beaumont:

On Monday, March 21,2016 Amer Jakher, the former Colton Director of Public Works/City Engineer, has been named as the City of Beaumont’s Director of Public Works/City Engineer.

Jakher has over 20 years of experience working for municipalities in the area of public works, engineering, construction management and waste water systems. Fourteen of those years were served as the Director of Public Works for the Cities of Colton and Victorville. The Public Works Department is responsible for plan checking, street and sewer maintenance, in addition to other functions.

Mr. Jakher is a licensed Professional Engineer in State of California and obtained his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, from San Diego State University and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from California State University, San Bernardino.
