Beaumont PD Nabs Teen With Meth And Gun; Combative Arrestee Taken In; Child Abuse Allegations: BPD Police Blotter

BEAUMONT, CA — Here are the most recent arrest logs, reports, and updates, as provided by the Beaumont Police Department:

On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Beaumont Police Department received a suspicious person call from employees of a business located in the 800 block of Oak Valley Parkway. Employees informed dispatch that a female had locked herself in their restroom and was not responding to their knocks.

Officers responded and contacted the female as she exited the business. The female immediately became verbal with officers and refused to cooperate. The female, identified as Augustina Marie Cervantes, 34 YOA of Yucaipa, was determined to be on active probation with search terms. Cervantes was searched and was found to be in possession of syringes. Cervantes was placed under arrest, but became physical with officers causing damage to the patrol unit, no injuries were sustained by any involved officers and Cervantes was booked for resisting arrest, vandalism, violation of probation and possession of drug paraphernalia at Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility without further incident.

On September 5, 2017 at approximately 11:05 p.m., Beaumont Police Department was dispatched to a property in the 900 block of Euclid Avenue in reference to domestic violence. The victim reported that a family member had thrown an item causing injury to the victim and a child.

The suspect had left the location prior to officers’ arrival. During the investigation, Officers were able to corroborate evidence with statements from the victims. San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department was contacted to provide assistance in locating the suspect at a residence in their jurisdiction. The subject was contacted, admitted to allegations and was subsequently arrested for domestic violence and child abuse.

On September 6, 2017, at approximately 12:34 a.m., Beaumont Police Department contacted a pedestrian in the area of 8th Street and Orange Avenue. The subject was identified as a 17 YOA runaway from Redlands.

The juvenile had methamphetamine, a stolen .357 handgun and stolen jewelry in his possession. The juvenile was released to his mother pending charges for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a stolen firearm and a minor in possession of ammunition.
