Beaumont Police Seeks Citizen Volunteers: What To Know
Do you love your community and want to lend support? Here are some suggestions from the Beaumont Police Department.

BEAUMONT, CA—The Beaumont Police Department is seeking residents who want to serve their community in a meaningful way to join the Citizen Volunteer Patrol.
"We call them CVPs," spokesperson Marcedes Cashmer said."Our CVPs serve the department in a variety of functions, from clerical to traffic control to event support."
Citizen Volunteers represent the community and assist the police department in a wide variety of functions. They also act as an extra set of eyes and ears by identifying suspicious activities, crimes in progress, or dangerous circumstances.

The following list is an example of the variety of programs that are open to our citizen volunteers:
- Graffiti Abatement
- District Attorney Filings
- Station Assistance
- Reception, Typing/Filing
- Various Clerical Duties
- Detective Assistance
- Community Events
- Neighborhood Watch
- Parking Issues
- Minor Traffic Collisions
